We loved our stay at Gajoen. We arrived very early and were able to leave our luggage very easily which was then delivered to our room upon check-in. The staff was so courteous and nice to us, we felt very well taken care off. The room itself was lovely. Spacious and comfortable. For our first night in Tokyo after a long flight it was great to sleep in the very comfy bed. The bathroom was the star however. The jet bathtub had a beautiful view of the city and the steam sauna was great to use. Complimentary skin care products were also provided so we had a spa night. The breakfast in the morning was lovely. So many foods to try, both hot and cold and from many cuisines, both Asian and western. It set us up for the whole day. The hotel itself is beautiful and worth a visit on its own. The waterfall is spectacular and the art all around the hotel is lovely to look at. Some mornings they have an art tour of the hotel, and I highly recommend going on one if you stay at the hotel and they have them in the morning. It was very interesting and you got to see areas and art in the hotel you wouldn't have otherwise. It's in a quite area but easy to get to from Meguro station and then you have the Meguro River close by that you can walk by which has loads of cherry blossom trees. They weren’t in bloom when we were there but could definitely see the potential. Also, a good walk up the river you have the Naka Meguro area, Ebisu and Daikanyama were you have lots of cool restaurants, shops and bars. I can also recommend the Metropolitan Teien Art Museum which is close and has a beautiful garden, not to mention the house and exhibitions themselves.

Absolutely fantastic hospitality from all the members of staff we encountered - we were warmly welcomed and looked after so well during our entire stay. The hotel is impeccable and delightfully decorated and maintained. It's easy to understand why so many choose it as a picturesque wedding venue. The executive suite rooms are outstanding - huge and spacious, extremely comfortable and stocked with everything that could be needed. In particular, the large bathrooms are fantastic with their personal sauna space. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice and variety - again, with excellent service. The location is great - a relatively quiet area of Tokyo with only a short walk to Meguro station and onward excellent transportation links. The neighbouring area is worth visiting during the cherry blossom season, and enjoying the events within the Meguro ward. A wonderful place to stay.

We loved everything about this hotel. The hotel staff are amazing from start to finish. We had the Japanese style room which was a joy to stay in, it had a separate sitting room with traditional seating area, the beds were comfortable. The bathroom had a jet bath, shower and sauna. The toilet was totally separate to the bathroom. We had a garden on our balcony. Really recommend this experience. Do the hotel art tour. You see closed off parts of the hotel and the historic art pieces as well as the banquet and wedding ceremony rooms with a fantastic tour guide. Great breakfast with the most variety I've seen in any hotel in Japan. We ate at the cafe and Chinese restaurant, the atmosphere and food was wonderful.

The hotel room was spotless. The room and the hallways smell clean. We booked a double room for our family of 4. The room was spacious. The main bedroom was divided by a thick wooden door from the common area (where the spacious kids' bed were set up). The beds were comfortable. AC worked. 2 thermostats available (one for main bedroom, another for common area, which was great). The main bathroom was huge. Plenty of counter space. The half bathroom was convenient. Walking closet in the common area. Another closet in the main bedroom. Breakfast buffet with plenty of hot and cold, Japanese and western options. Hotel staff was attentive. Hotel garden and waterfall was beautiful.

5 star hotel, service, amenities, attention to detail, decor, location, breakfast/food. We stayed with our 3 year old son, the doors splitting bedroom from living room with a bed was so clutch and light proof. In room sauna and jet tub were welcomed after long day. Spacious rooms meant lots of hide and seek games + comfort. Staff went above and beyond everywhere we went. Beautiful view of Meguro river and city. The breakfast spread in terms of options and quality were top notch. My 3 year old said he wanted to stay here forever - I concur! We've been to other Small Luxury Hotel brands and this one stands out.
